This full-time 1st Shift position with a schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. KENT offers a competitive wage and an outstanding benefits package including health insurance and a 401K plan.

The Receiving Operator is responsible for unloading and testing bulk feed or ingredients from either rail cars or trucks. Assist with and have knowledge of all duties associated with steam flaking, crimping, rolling, cracking, cleaning and grinding various grains. Load finished bulk feeds and completely arrive and put away all bagged ingredients and empty packaging.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Unloading ingredients that meet Kent Nutrition Group's un-loading specifications.


• Ensure that contract numbers match drivers paperwork before un-loading


• Ensure that all samples that are taken from trucks/ rail cars are a good representative sample


• Properly fill out all arrival Quality Control paper work in its entirety


• Follow any sequencing procedures that have been put into place for un-loading ingredients or loading finished feeds


• Keep QC Manager and Maintenance Supervisor informed of any worn or damaged equipment/ tools


• Unload any bagged ingredients or packaging and fill out proper paper work


• Load all bulk orders in an efficient manner


• Be able to read and comprehend Rumensin feeder settings. Know the importance of blending Rumensin properly


• Must have knowledge of the HACCP program


• Must have knowledge of the company Feed & Food Safety Plan


• Must have a thorough understanding of CGMP’s


• Must have knowledge of FSMA


• Must have knowledge of and comply with all OSHA Safety Regulations


• Assist Quality Control Supervisor with various duties such as feeder testing and obtaining samples


• Work in the most effective, efficient, and safe manner at all times


• Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by management

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED


• Good communication skills


• Work and cooperate with all fellow employees


• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs


• Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
