Job Summary


The Student Success Coordinator is responsible for working independently and utilizing judgment in guiding college administration, faculty, and staff to remain in compliance with institutional, TBR, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and guidelines related to the Perkins federal funding. The Coordinator ensures transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner through budget tracking software.


This position offers the opportunity to currently work remotely within the state of TN with the occasional need to travel to the Central office for in-person meetings.



Job Duties



  • 40% - Perkins * Independently reviews and manages Perkins budget software configuration, reporting, and processes, including accuracy of records to ensure adherence to federal and state reporting requirements. * Creates and maintains population selections to assist in compiling data for reporting * Serves as a consultant to college staff on the Interpretation of Perkins guidelines, designing and providing training both in person and in asynchronous courses. * Evaluates how TBR policies impact grant & software. Makes policy recommendations based upon federal legislation and guidelines. * Develops and implements software to support colleges creation of reports necessary to maintain compliance and meet reporting standards * Utilizing independent judgement, guides college personnel with technical assistance in the execution of Perkins funded activities based upon federal legislation. * Independently prepares the necessary institutional, TBR, state, & related reports - (Essential)

  • 30% - Financial Management * Independently completes quarterly reimbursement processes. Works cooperatively with TBR Business office. * Leads quarterly reimbursement processes with colleges and TDOE * Develops and maintains software to ensure policies and procedures related to Perkins are current to federal guidelines * Provides technical assistance and training to college staff related to reimbursements * Conducts consistent inventory of equipment and grant awards for colleges - (Essential)

  • 25% - Customer Service * Promotes and communicates Perkins related grants and program support to college administration, faculty and staff * Provides regular and timely responses to institutional staff on Perkins related questions and concerns. * Works cooperatively and effectively with other departments, including Business office and IT in support of Perkins changes and improvements - (Essential)

  • 5% - Other Duties * Performs additional directly related duties as assigned - (Essential)



Minimum Qualifications


* Two (2) years in career-technical education, industry training, or related background
* Bachelor's degree in education (or a related degree) with emphasis on career-technical education, organizational psychology with emphasis in competency-based industry training, or a related field
* Experience with Microsoft Excel
* Experience working in a postsecondary setting
* Experience with grant software system or similar
* Experience working in both technical support and end-user support environments
* Technical writing and documentation ability

* Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel Expert Certification
