Dynamis is looking for a Military Analyst to analyze and provide subject matter expertise on current and future military capabilities in support of net assessment wargaming within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. The ideal candidate will be familiar with wargaming with DOD and one or more warfare domains. Must be able to work in direct support of the customer and with FFRDC personnel, field or mid-grade officers, and members of the intelligence community.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, collect, and structure strategic-level and regional analysis of DOD and intelligence data for historical, current, and future military capabilities for the United States and other nations.
  • Build detailed datasets of present and future weapon system capabilities, orders of battle, doctrine, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), architectures, and facilities across the naval, air, space, and ground domains.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on current and projected future capabilities, orders of battle, doctrine, CONOPS, architecture, and facilities in support of wargame participants and in-game adjudication and pre- and post-game analysis.
  • Employ tools to analyze & visualize present and future weapon system capabilities, orders of battle, doctrine, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), architectures, and facilities.
  • Manage tasks with minimal supervision and support teams in accomplishing high priority projects.

Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Active Top Secret/SCI or SCI eligibility
  • B.A. in international relations, history, operations research, political science, security studies, military affairs, strategic studies, intelligence or related field and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of U.S. military; naval, air, land, and space warfare (including weapon systems and doctrine; and general concepts of operation and employment)

Preferred:

  • Experience with wargaming within the Department of Defense.
  • Familiarity with one or more warfare domain and the associated critical variables in military operations and/or wargame adjudication.
  • Familiarity with sources of data on weapon systems, orders of battle, doctrine, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), architectures, and facilities across DOD and the Intelligence Community.
  • Experience working with FFRDC personnel, field or mid-grade officers, and members of the intelligence community.
  • Proficiency operating wargaming software (such as Command Professional Edition), databases, or tools that support interactive and statistical analysis of hardware, systems, tactics and CONOPS, logistics, and other related areas.
