Provides legal counsel and advice on international legal activities for the company and its subsidiaries, including international acquisitions, financing, tax, regulatory and labor law compliance
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
This position requires a Juris Doctorate from A.B.A. accredited law school or equivalent foreign accredited institution and admission to the Bar or equivalent licensing/regulating institution.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Significant related experience as an attorney, either in a private law firm or the legal department of a publicly held corporation plus minimum of ten (10) years' experience in international corporate law (including mergers and acquisitions), international tax, and international customs and trade regulations, labor and regulatory (aviation, postal, ground transportation, foreign investment) matters, as well as demonstrably successful management experience (eg. high performance and team feedback ratings). Government and Regulatory affairs experience is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Superior judgment and negotiation, human relations and communication skills are required. Fluency in English and Spanish are strongly preferred.
