The Quality Inspector reports directly to the Quality Supervisor and seeks direction from the 2nd Shift Production Manager while performing inspection and testing duties to ensure that manufactured products fulfill all customer and internal specifications and quality requirements. This position is critical to achieving customer satisfaction as they may provide the final quality measure for our product prior to being received by our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with established
processes, procedures, and customer specifications
Conduct inspections and audits of incoming, in-process, and finished products
Initiate Non-Conformance Reports and completion of NCR process utilizing
databases and other quality tools, as required
Read and interpret specifications and part prints
Perform product identification and traceability activities as required
Input and perform trending analysis of key Quality process metrics
Document, report, and present inspection audit findings and results and monitor
corrective actions to inspection and audit findings
Perform accurate mechanical, physical, and visual inspection of raw materials,
components and sub-assemblies per Inspection Plans and Specification
Requirements
Collaborate with 2nd Shift Production Manager and Supervisor to achieve
manufacturing objectives
Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment
Perform material kit audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of the kitting process
Communicate with Engineering to ensure drawings and schematics are in
compliance with final product specifications
Train manufacturing Associates in quality assurance techniques as needed
Perform Internal ISO Audits of SafeRacks defined processes
Other duties as business needs dictate
