Responsibilities

What you'll be challenged to do:

TranSystems, has an immediate opening for a Right of Way Project Coordinator who is a member of our Southeast Right of Way  group, and is responsible for utilizing independent discretion to coordinate, organizing and monitoring project files and activities under the direction of the  Project Manager.  The Project Coordinator is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering projects of varying size and complexity. This position is located in Charleston, SC. 

Essential functions include but are not limited to:


  • Initiate and provide oversight of all project documents including review, analysis and management reporting for assigned projects.

  • Uploading project files into various database systems.

  • Maintaining and updating project reports for related data and deliverables.

  • Subconsultant support including issuing Task Orders, monitoring deliverables, preparation of integrated reports.

  • Reviewing and approving subconsultant invoices and ensuring that all contractual requirements are met in accordance with the Task Order.

  • Assisting the project team with timely project close-out process for assigned projects.

  • Various administrative tasks.

Qualifications

What you bring to our firm:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or other relevant degree program. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience analyzing data as part of daily responsibilities

  • A minimum of 2 years daily utilization of functions in Microsoft Office Suite, with demonstrated mastery of Excel and Word.

  • Knowledge of financial budgeting, cost, and statistical analysis.

  • Ability to reason quickly, logically, and creatively in unique and stressful situations.

  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with individuals contacted in the course of their work.

  • Ability to follow directions; and organize workload and to multi-task, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Expert level capabilities with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word. MS Project and SharePoint knowledge are a plus.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills with people at all levels both inside and outside the company.

  • Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
