The Role

PGIM is seeking an astute, determined professional to serve as a Vice President within the Business Development group. Based in New York (ideally), this role will report to the Northeast US Region Head of Business Development (“Northeast Head”). This person will be responsible for supporting PGIM Private Alternatives’ (including Real Estate Equity/Debt, Private Credit, Agriculture, and PE Secondaries) business development activities targeted to institutional investors.

The successful candidate will showcase success through collaboration, ownership, and innovation. An expertise in emerging trends and practices will evoke stimulating discussions around optimization and change to help keep PGIM’s competitive edge. This opportunity will enable the Vice President to make a big impact in the organization.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Immediately lead coverage of certain clients and consultants.

• Develop a targeted outreach program to engage with prospective clients and consultants within the Northeast Head’s assigned sales territory.

• Work with the Northeast Head to support institutional marketing / sales efforts generally.

• Partner with the Northeast Head to jointly cover certain high touch existing clients and consultants.

• Travel to and participate in client/ consultant review meetings and client/ consultant/ prospect sales pitches.

• Host and coordinate the internal attendees and prepare presentation materials for investor onsite meetings.

• Work with the Northeast Head to oversee investor due diligence and client onboarding process.

• Oversee client and prospect communication sales database and ensure timely delivery of materials.

• Partner with PGIM Real Estate’s Marketing Services team to oversee the development and review of investor presentation materials, including but not limited to pitchbooks, RFPs, etc.

• Partner with PGIM Real Estate’s Investor Services team to oversee the distribution of client communications, portfolio reports, and ad hoc information requests to clients and prospects.

• Assist with a variety of special projects.

Candidate Profile

The Vice President, Business Development will bring demonstrated experience in leading and/or supporting the raise of discretionary institutional private investment funds. They will be a collaborative professional who is able to interact as a peer with senior leaders internally, while also forming effective relationships externally and bringing credibility across the LP community.

Required Skills:

• A minimum of 8-12 years of experience working in a real estate investment or institutional sales organization.

• End-to-end understanding of the capital raising process. Knowledge of how funds work and how LPs think and allocate money,

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal.

• A high degree of professionalism, strong work ethic, and relationship building skills.

• Excellent organizational and project management skills.

• Willingness and ability to frequently travel for client/ consultant/ prospect meetings.

• Bachelor's degree required. Series 7 and other regulatory licenses required upon commencement.
