Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a General Manager  located in Libertyville, IL.

Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing the General Manager leads a dedicated team at our site, focusing on establishing the strategic direction for our Plastic Injection Molding and Medical Manufacturing operations. This role involves planning, directing, and controlling all manufacturing activities within the company. The General Manager will coordinate operating activities to ensure that approved products are manufactured on schedule, within quality standards, and cost goals.

Additionally, the General Manager will estimate manufacturing capacity, oversee production and materials control, manage warehousing and site facilities, and ensure maintenance, engineering, production, compliance, human resources and other department activities are effectively executed. This role is crucial in developing segment and strategic plans, ensuring that our site delivers comprehensive value tailored to our strategic customers. The General Manager will drive initiatives that align with our commitment to innovation and excellence in the medical manufacturing industry, fostering collaboration among departments to optimize production and operational efficiency.

What a typical day looks like:


  • The General Manager will be accountable for overseeing and directing the site to ensure business development growth and the attainment of profit and operations goals including the Vision and Mission.

  • Accountable for assessment of existing and potential markets and developing and maintaining strategic alliances with key customers.

  • Will regularly interact with executives and major clients. Interactions normally will involve influencing and/or persuading customers and negotiations.

  • This role should possess demonstrated positive human relations and business skills that are effective at all levels of the organization.

  • Direct execution and develop the necessary functional and process expertise in order to deliver customer solutions in a rapid time frame at the lowest possible costs.

  • Functional will include, but not be limited to Engineering, Procurement, Materials Management, Regulatory, Quality, Warehousing and logistics, Business Excellence, cross functional Human Resource and Financial controls.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science. Masters or MBA preferred.

  • Requires 12+ years of experience in operations management at an executive level.

  • Experience within Medical Manufacturing and Plastic Injection Molding Operations.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams of people and multi-million dollar revenues.

  • Ability to significantly improve operation metrics including increasing turns, out of box quality, on time delivery, and reductions in cycle time, costs and inventory.

  • Ability to successfully influence senior level management, executives and key clients.

  • NPI experience with new customer programs from concept to successful execution and delivery.

  • Proven sales development skills and excellent operational and financial skills.

  • Experience working with ODM’s and/or OEM’s.

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the flexibility to operate well in a rapidly changing, often high-stress environment.
