Description: Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Project Manager - Expansion Projects
As a Project Manager for expansion initiatives at our cutting-edge device manufacturing facility in North Charleston, SC, you'll collaborate closely with the Engineering and Facilities teams. This role offers the opportunity to grow into a future leadership position within these functions as the site expands.
Main Responsibilities:
Lead project planning and support the Project Team in developing the construction schedule.
Manage tasks and stakeholders to meet critical schedule milestones, including design, procurement, construction, startup, commissioning, punch-listing, and closeout.
Ensure project completion aligns with desired schedule, cost, and quality.
Coordinate and oversee subcontractors during various phases.
Develop, assess, and issue subcontracts and purchase orders.
Administer construction contracts and obtain necessary permits and licenses.
Engage with the operations team to review plans, specifications, and project requirements.
Review technical specifications and designs to ensure state-of-the-art solutions.
Implement effective on-site quality control and documented acceptance processes during construction.
Cultivate strong relationships with architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Handle other assigned responsibilities.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering.
10+ years of experience in Construction Project Management, emphasizing Design-Build and Industrial/Manufacturing projects.
Experience working in the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or Biotech space is preferred
Experience in Medium to Large Scale Manufacturing, Injection Molding, Highly Automated facilities, and logistics systems.
