SUMMARY



The Strategic Communications Specialist II will analyze political, legal, and technical trends and influences in strategic communications for PM IEN Leadership. The Contractor shall conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify communication risks, propose collaborative communications opportunities, and develop courses of action analysis for PM IEN. Advanced skills in utilizing PowerPoint and Excel for presentations and advanced analytics are preferred. The candidate shall coordinate the actions of the Graphics support, Public Affairs support, and administrative support.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS



Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.



KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Assists with developing stakeholder communications and outreach plan linking internal and external communications. Incorporate technical, logistics, operations and acquisition analysis of strengths, weaknesses and opportunities into a comprehensive plan for external communications with PM IEN stakeholders and for internal communications to best support PM IEN objectives.


Maintains awareness and provides regular reports on long range strategies and trends of higher headquarters within the DoD.


Develops branding strategies for PM IEN Requiring Activities as they relate to Government approved communications objectives.


Assists with preparing presentations for boards, committees, executives, and senior leadership teams.


Develops and maintains relationships with media. Coordinate interviews and speaking engagements for senior leaders.


Prepares talking points, slides, media dailies/Executive Summaries, and reporting engagements to higher headquarters.


Drafts and edits articles for submission to publications.


Compiles and develops content for an internal newsletter.


Drafts, staffs and distributes a completed newsletter.


Tracks and reports upcoming Army and industry sponsored conferences. Coordinates PM IEN involvement by preparing talking points, brochures, and displays as necessary.


Tracks upcoming awards nomination periods (Army and industry sponsored) and assists preparation and staffing of the award nomination packages.


Maintains a PM IEN photo library.


Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.


Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



Bachelor's degree and a minimum of six (6) years' work experience, or ten (10) years of relevant experience.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
