The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing strategic support to senior management. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent analytical skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance and trends.
Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of the general ledger and related accounting processes.
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is recorded correctly and reconciliations are completed.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
Monitor budget vs. actual performance and recommend adjustments as necessary.
Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Manage credit and collections processes to minimize risk and optimize cash flow.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations that impact the company.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Experience in Vista is a plus.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.
