Job Description:

Who We Are:


The Embedded Systems Section in the Strategic Aerospace Department provides electromechanical engineering support for several US Air Force Global Strike Command and Department of Defense programs. We are a multidisciplinary team of engineers that enjoy supporting the warfighter. We provide engineering services to projects involving the design, development and maintenance of hardware and software systems for the strategic aerospace community, including aircraft and ground support equipment ranging from microcircuits to major subsystems.


Objectives of this Role:


  • Participate in embedded hardware and software development teams involved in developing requirements, designing, implementing, testing, and documenting embedded hardware/software applications.

  • Perform embedded hardware design, development, prototyping, integration, and testing against customer requirements.

  • Support internal research and development of new technologies for national defense applications.

  • Support department marketing and business development efforts with customers.


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:


  • Perform embedded design, development, coding, integration, testing, research, programming, and documentation.

  • Develop technical documentation and reports based on software and hardware investigations.

  • Interact with colleagues and project leadership to present results, share data, guide design development decisions, and write technical reports to document design milestone completions.

  • Support hardware testing activities.


Requirements:


  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.

  • 0 years: Electrical/hardware/firmware design and development skills.

  • Hardware/software integration, HWiL testing, simulation environments.

  • Experience with C, C++, Python, Arduino, Matlab, UML, real-time operating systems.

  • Component selection to meet airworthiness requirements, schematic design.

  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
