PayPal Ads is looking for a seasoned ad tech solution engineering leader with a track record of implementing tech solutions to expedite the roll-out of the tech program to support the sales needs of the ads business. You will own the implementation strategy for the PayPal Ads tech programs, resolve product and technical escalations from sales teams, and develop solutions to scale support.

About the role



PayPal Ads is looking for a seasoned ad tech solution engineering leader with a track record of implementing tech solutions to expedite the roll-out of the tech program to support the sales needs of the ads business. You will own the implementation strategy for the PayPal Ads tech programs, resolve product and technical escalations from sales teams, and develop solutions to scale support. You will drive technical and product consultations with product teams and developers, working closely with sales teams to provide the right solution for their business and identify opportunities to optimize sales strategies and workflows. You'll lead the tech solutions team of PayPal Ads based on a deep understanding of the ads industry. You will work closely with cross-functional partners, including sales, operations, finance, product, engineering, and marketing. We seek a high-performing team leader who drives results rapidly while delivering profitable growth for the PayPal Ads business. In this role, you have the opportunity to significantly extend PayPal's value proposition to our three-sided network while being instrumental in developing our new advertising business for the company.



Responsibilities:



  • Lead and manage the tech solutions team within the Ad Operations team in PayPal Ads.


  • Analyze advertisers' needs and requirements, design and develop pragmatic software solutions that meet those short-term specifications, test and debug the solutions, and deploy and maintain them until a scaled solution gets implemented.


  • Resolve product and technical escalations from sales teams and develop solutions to scale support.


  • Drive technical and product consultations with product teams and developers.


  • Work closely with sales teams to provide the right solution for their business.


  • Identify opportunities to optimize sales strategies and workflows.





Qualifications:



  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Business Informatics, or a related field.


  • At least 15 years of experience in ad tech solution engineering, ideally in an AdTech environment.


  • Deep understanding of the advertiser, agencies, and advertiser branding and performance needs.


  • Network and close working relationships with advertising technology companies, including DMPs, CDPs, CMPs etc.


  • Strong knowledge of data management, data architecture, and ETL processes.


  • Proven experience in developing and launching data products.


  • Proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data analysis platforms (e.g., SQL, Python, R).


  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex data concepts effectively.


  • Successful track record building out strategies and partnerships from 0 to 1.


  • Strong financial and business acumen with a high degree of comfort engaging with technical leaders internally and externally.


  • Ability to synthesize complex information into the essential points to inform executive decision-making.


  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed organization.


  • Superior relationship-building and exceptional consultative skills with a passion and hunger to win.


  • Results-oriented, analytical, self-motivated, and a "hands-on" person with a proven ability to meet objectives and targets.


  • Travel required, as necessary, for customer-facing activities and team collaboration.


  • Recognize and understand critical cultural approaches to doing business globally.


  • Executive presentation skills; including in-person, written, and verbal.

$144800 to $319000
