SUMMARY



The Website Content Manager will create, edit and update the content on a website which includes newly created websites. Responsible for coordinating and executing timely content updates with content creators and stakeholders.


Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of website content, coordinating with various teams to ensure that the website content meets the agency goals, is accurate, relevant, and engaging for the target audience.


Ensures website is designed within style guides and consistent across the agency. Validates website functionality for user experiences; ensures site user friendly, easy to navigate and links are working. Ensures the website adheres to all applicable federal laws, DoD regulations and instructions governing websites.


Develops and maintains documentation of content updates and best practice and processes.


Optimizes website content for search engines to improve visibility and rankings.


Uses web analytics tools to track and analyze the performance of content and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.


Excellent organizational, writing and editing skills required.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital media or a related field required and a minimum five (5) years' of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
