Job Description:

Our client is seeking an innovative and dedicated AV/Control Design Engineer and Programmer to join their team. This role is integral to the operation of our client's museum, as it undergoes a significant digital transformation over the next few years. This is an 18-month contract with a potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the redevelopment and migration of existing interactive media content from legacy PC-based systems to BrightSign hardware.
- Support the AV side to ensure exhibits are running properly.
- Maintain open lines of communication within the team and manage the team's expectations.
- Train staffers on system operation and contribute to operations and maintenance manuals.
- Execute project plans and collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Required Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years of direct experience with user interaction design across diverse platforms.
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web-oriented technologies.
- Experience with BrightSign and proficiency in AV systems programming language, including Simpl+.
- Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification.
- Bachelor's degree in human interface design, computer science, or a related field, plus courses relevant to web technology or user experience.

This role will require on-site work four days a week, with the flexibility of one day a week to work from home. Some programming can be done remotely.
