Minimum Qualifications:



• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; or five (5) years experience in quality assurance testing.
• Three (3) years leadership experience.




Basic Job Functions:



Nucor Steel Texas is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Quality Assurance Supervisor. This position is responsible for providing leadership to the quality department and for developing an effective strategy incorporating all departments to achieve the quality goals of the division. The Quality Supervisor will serve as a resource to facilitate collaboration throughout the melt shop and rolling mills to ensure the best interest of Nucor is being met. This person will work cross-functionally with Sales and Operations to address customer specific requirements and product needs. Safety is the most important aspect of any position at Nucor and this position will be a leader in safety for the department and act as a part of the leadership team of the division.


Internal and external candidates will be considered concurrently.


Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.




Preferred Qualifications:



• Bachelor's degree in metallurgical engineering or material science.
• Steel manufacturing experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
