Job Summary The Social Worker Principal will closely follow patients in the Markey Outpatient setting. This individual will perform psycho-social evaluations, distress screenings, assess the need for further financial, emotional and practical support.

The selected candidate will also make appropriate referrals to appropriate oncology community and nationwide resources. Help facilitate support groups and other patient-oriented programs. Provide supportive counseling for Patients throughout the continuum of care.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Multi-tasking, knowledge of community resources, ability to work independently and as part of a team, efficient time management skills, flexibility, experience working in a patient centered environment
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience Master’s of Social Work plus LCSW plus 3 or more years in a health care setting.
