Job Details



  • Class A Delivery Driver (No Manual Restrictions)

  • Location - Warrenton, MO

  • Schedule - Monday - Friday

  • Hours - Early Morning Start Times 

  • Rate of Pay - Local Delivery up to $30/hr, Regional .55 to .61 CPM, drop pay, per diem, hotel stay paid by Company

  • Stops 5-10 per day (depending on route)

  • Deliveries Made to customer docks, job sites, and drop areas

  • Delivery Area - Local 100-150 Miles, Regional = Midwest (IL, NE, AR, TN, IA)

  • Regional Drivers average 1500-1600 miles per week

  • Equipment - Class A dry van, flatbed, Moffett truck, and straight truck


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Safely handle and load/unload glass and/or metal products, secure the load, make multiple deliveries, and provide excellent customer service

  • Load and unload loose, boxed or racked glass by hand, with cranes, booms, forklifts, or hoists

  • Verify product quantities before and during delivery

  • Operation of hand-held scanners and electronic logging devices

  • Ensure trucks are operating efficiently by performing thorough daily pre and post trip inspections

  • Promote safety by inspecting delivery sites to ensure there is safe environment to unload by following best practices for safety

  • Maintain truck and driving records by reporting information, completing driver logs and truck performance forms

  • Comply with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations

  • Ability to work varied shifts – sometimes involving night work, Sunday departures, overnights 1 to 2 nights per week and overtime if required

  • Occasionally load trucks

  • Use of necessary equipment including but not limited to straight truck, flatbed, boom crane, knuckle boom, truck-mounted fork truck, tilt dolly, pallet jack, hoist lift truck, power tools, tie down devices, calculator and tape measure

  • Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job


 


Requirements



  • Be at least 21 years old.

  • Satisfy all federal, state, and local government requirements.

  • Ability to obtain a medical examiner’s certificate of physical qualification.

  • Ability to pass the FMCSR Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP), including drug/alcohol test, previous employer, and criminal background checks.

  • Consent to FMCSR Clearinghouse background check and ongoing driver compliance.

  • Have a valid Driver’s license issued by the state of residence to operate the type of equipment the applicant will be driving.

  • Preferred at least two (2) years of verifiable, accident-free driving experience, or must have completed a DOT driver training class from an accredited truck driving school (we will train the right candidate through our comprehensive driver's training program).

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public and law enforcement, to understand traffic signals, signs, and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.


 


Physical Requirements



  • Must have muscular and cardiovascular endurance to perform functions required for glass handling such as frequent bending, twisting, and reaching motions

  • Tight gripping, cupping, and wrist motions are required to support and carry and maneuver up to 75 pounds
