This is asenior-level position reporting to theDirector, Accountingwith primary responsibility ofensuringproperrecording ofexpenses and related balancesheet assets and liabilities.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Ensuringaccuracy and timelinessin accounting foroperating expenses,vendor expenses, payroll expenses,lease accounting, capexdeferrals, depreciation, amortization, prepaid expenses,accrued expenses, andotheraccounting areas managed by thegeneral ledgeraccounting team
Helpingmaintainprocesses and procedures for accurateand timelyexpense recognition,expense capitalization,andexpense classifications
Assisting inimprovingutilization of financialapplicationsusing PeopleSoft Query, PowerBI ,Oracle Fusionand other tools to satisfyGAAPreportingrequirementsincludingthequarterly andannualfinancial statements and supporting schedules
Understanding andensuring compliance withexpenserecognition,capex, deferrals, andvendor expense cutoffpoliciesand ensuring these policies aremanaged through internalcontrolsand exception reporting within thefinancial systems.Helping communicatethesepoliciesregularly to the business
Driving themonthlyclose processto helpensureanaccurateand timely close ofoperatingexpense,accounts payable, and capex ledgers
Preparingexpense and balance sheetjournal entries andaccount reconciliationsin accordancewitharigorousclose deadline
Assisting with the reviewofvendorcontractsand invoices to ensure properexpense recognition
Helpingassistthird party auditors to ensure timelyyear-end audit/review preparation
Working closely withmembers of otherteams in finance and operationsassistingwithmonthly, quarterly, and annual revenue forecastsand plans
Assisting in maintaininginternal controlsimpactingall accounting areas managedby thegeneral ledgeraccounting team
Supportinggeneral ledgeraccountingteameffortswithIT, operations,and other membersin accounting to driveaccounting system and reporting improvements
The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
Strongworkethic,communication, and organizational skills
Self-motivated,ability tomulti-task, and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Comprehension of GAAPand other authoritative guidance
Minimum of a bachelor'sdegree in Accounting with2-5years of work-relatedexperience in a relevant position
Strong computer skills: Proficient Excel skillsand other Microsoft Officeproducts
Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above
Preferred skills/qualifications:
Experience working with Peoplesoft, Microsoft Dynamics 365,OracleFinancials,or otherAccounting ERPs
