LOGS Legal Group LLP has an exciting new opportunity for a Hybrid Financial Controller to join the team in our Colorado Springs, CO office location.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Purpose of this Role: The Financial Controller is responsible for timely and accurate preparation financial statements and associated documentation. This role assists with the formulation and execution of internal controls and policies within the Finance and Accounting functions of the business. The Financial Controller is responsible for performing balance sheet, revenue, expense, and payroll account reconciliations, as well as executing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Duties and Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:


  • Oversee preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes

  • Manage financial reporting and provide insights to management

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies

  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team

  • Coordinate external audits and maintain financial records

  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls

  • Collaborate with department heads on financial strategies

  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement

  • Manage cash flow and banking relationships

  • Provide financial leadership for strategic projects and decisions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Highly detail-oriented and organized

  • Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines and prioritize tasks

  • Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data

  • Highly skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets

  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Must be a team player and willing to assist in multiple areas as necessary

Training and Experience Requirements: The ideal candidate for this position has the following:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)

  • 10+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role

  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly

  • Experience with financial software systems and advanced Excel skills

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in financial reporting

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
