Job Description:

The Anne and Henry Zarrow School of Social Work is seeking an Operations Project Manager responsible for developing and directing strategic and long-range goals and initiatives. Will also provide project management support to leadership ensuring appropriate and timely communications, developing project plans and milestones, and ensuring successful outcomes.


Tasks may include but are not limited to:



  • Collaborates with executives and managers to develop long-range, strategic goals and objectives.

  • Effectively manages a variety of projects to ensure financial, quality, service and operational goals are achieved.

  • Manages new initiatives, and pilot programs and based on results, makes, recommends and implements adjustments and modifications.  

  • Monitors timelines to ensure resources are available and applied appropriately to achieve desired performance goals in a timely manner.  

  • Provides tracking tools and risk management summaries for all projects designated by senior leadership.  Summarizes individual project progress and risks to senior leadership.

  • Maintains effective internal and external communications regarding the process innovation and project management efforts.  

  • Ensures that the department has the infrastructure and resources required to perform it role effectively and efficiently.

  • Responsible for day-to-day management and development of department staff utilizing development tools.

  • Supervises staff, including hiring, training and performance evaluation.

  • Provides consultative, coaching or mentoring services to leadership and department staff as appropriate

  • Oversees department operation and capital budgets in coordination with Director.

  • Work with department Admin/Finance Coordinator to review monthly reconciliations and other financial questions and issues.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree, AND:



  • 60 months experience managing and leading multiple projects.


Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 108 months of related experience.


Skills:



  • Knowledge of trends and developments in process innovation and project management.

  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

  • Ability to manage and lead projects.

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to supervise.


Certifications:  None


Advertised Physical Requirements:



  • Sit for prolonged periods.

  • Communicate effectively and listen.

  • Use of a computer.

  • Manual dexterity.

  • Standard Office Environment.


Departmental Preferences:



  • Prefer experience in higher education. 


Supervision:



  • Operations Program Manager. Supervising 1-20 staff
