Provider Practice Consultant (OB / Maternity) JR129816
Location: Must reside within 50 miles and 1 hr commute of our Topeka, Kansas or Overland Park, Kansas location.
Travel: This role will involve travel within the state of Kansas to meet with provider practices. Providers that are > than 100 miles will require virtual presentations. (Mileage is reimbursable.)
The OB Practice Consultant is responsible for creating a partnership relationship with providers and key Health Plan leads, to support initiatives and ensure our members receive a fully integrated and accountable system of care.
How you will make an impact:
Assess current practice patterns, assets, and challenges utilizing NCQA Standards, HEDIS audits, site reviews, and medical records reviews.
In partnership with the OB provider, evaluate the results of the initial assessment.
Establishes a project plan with the practice that establishes goals and objectives for improvement.
Provides ongoing practice support and sustains the partnership.
Establishes regular meetings to track progress.
Improves the understanding and sensitivity to the unique needs of this population and the caregivers.
Ensures OB providers are offering evidenced-based care to members and driving quality improvement
Minimum Requirements
Requires AS in nursing and minimum of 5 years of managed care experience and minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and minimum of 2 years of professional presentations to small and large audiences; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Current, unrestricted (RN, NP, or PA) clinical license in the state of Kansas required.
Preferred Qualifications:
BSN in nursing.
Managed care experience.
2 years combination of OB/GYN, Mother/Baby, L & D clinical experience.
Outpatient/Clinic experience preferred.
Travel within the state of Kansas up to 20%.
