Gaven Industries manufactures highly engineered systems for electromagnetic and RF shielding including solutions for IEMI, EMI, RFI, and HEMP/EMP. Our diverse customer base is spread across multiple verticals with thousands of government and commercial customers worldwide. We are looking for a Painter to join our growing team!

Duties:

• Responsible for reading drawings to understand masking requirements, paint specified and application according to engineering drawings.
• Responsible for applying paint, and other finishes as directed in engineering drawings.
• Examine and inspect painter surfaces to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Verify assembly of parts conforms to drawing(s), to all stated tolerances, and QC requirements
• Cleaning up painting tools and supplies, replacing fixtures after completing the project
• Painters are also responsible for maintaining their painting equipment (spray booth).
• Work collaboratively with other team members to develop fixturing, process drawings, process routers, tooling requirements, and cycle time estimates.
• Process and complete all required QC documentation and records.
• Accurately fills out production records, inventory, time sheet, test reports, and other documentation
• Ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times
• Responsible for all work areas to kept clean, orderly and safe
• Will backfill in door assembly and finishing when needed (apply laminate and other finishes). Could be 15-35% of role.
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• +2 years of painting experience.
• Use of painting tools and maintenance of spray booth.
• Ability to read drawing and work instructions.
• Able to perform physically demanding work: standing, bending, and lifting 50 lbs. regularly

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

**Shift is daylight/ 4 ten hour shifts per week: Monday- Thursday 6:00am- 4:30pm**
