This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
This position starts at $18.90 per hour, and an additional $1.00 per hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd Shift.

Job Duties:
Follow all production schedules and procedures.
Follow plant GMP, HACCP and Safety policies.
Monitor the tortilla weights and size and adjust the sheeter as needed.
Control of masa into sheeter to appropriate level and remove defective tortillas from belt
Monitor machine and belt for ant problems and correct problems or breakdowns as they occur.
Communicate with the corn room operator to ensure that tortillas meet product specifications.
Notify supervisor of any observed problems or issues.
Perform various work duties assigned by the department supervisor.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Must be able to read explicit simple instructions and do required paperwork.
Must wear safety equipment, etc. and follow GMP's.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required and listening skills, ability to interact effectively with a wide range of people.
Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Must be willing and able to lift and carry 45 pounds or more.
The Team Member will be regularly required to stand, stoop, bend, climb ladders, change work levels, twist and squat, climb stairs, reach, push, pull and move about the facility.
The Team Member will work in hot, cold, and wet environments.
Qualifications:
Must have 3 months of experience with the same employer.
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
