Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA that is seeking a Lead/Staff Machine Learning Ops Engineer to join their growing team within the .COM (retail media) focused on product recommendations, AI/ML models, and building scalable MLOps infrastructure. The Engineer will be collaborating with teams to productionalize machine learning models, lead experimentation initiatives, and guide the technical direction of AI projects across marketing and retail media.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development and scaling of machine learning models, particularly focused on product recommendations and ad-serving capabilities
Spearhead MLOps initiatives and ensure seamless integration, deployment, and monitoring of ML models in production environments
Guide experimentation efforts with various models and configurations, delivering results to cross-functional teams for further deployment
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to break complex problems into manageable tasks and deliver innovative AI-driven solutions
Customize AI models to enhance customer-facing product recommendations and retail media strategies
Manage migration from third-party ad servers to in-house solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals
Hands-on coding and dev in Python, working with TensorFlow, Vertex AI, and GCP for deploying and optimizing ML models
Present solutions and strategic recomd. to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams
Serve as a technical lead and mentor to jr engineers, providing guidance on best practices in AI and MLOps
Drive solution-oriented approaches to complex problems, ensuring the delivery of high-impact AI features
REQUIREMENTS:
Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, preferably at a sr or lead level
Strong expertise in building and productionalizing ML models for product recommendations and similar use cases
Deep knowledge of MLOps practices and experience leading MLOps initiatives
Proficiency with Python, TensorFlow, Vertex AI, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with AI-driven projects, such as chatbots and customer recommendation systems
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex problems and deliver practical, scalable solutions
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience in marketing/retail media or similar industries is a plus
Preferred Skills:
Experience working with cross-functional teams and handing off solutions to delivery teams
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in fast-paced, dynamic environments
Understanding of AI/ML experimentation frameworks and tools
Strong analytical mindset and experience with model customization for enhancing customer experiences

Solution-oriented mindset with a focus on driving results
Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team while delivering high-impact solutions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
