What You'll Be Doing:
The purpose of the Supplier Quality Specialist is to: Support operations and engineering by identifying process improvement opportunities within the PUI supply chain; Issue corrective action plans with vendors to correct process failings and drive improvement in quality and productivity; Perform supplier and vendor audits to achieve highest quality; and follow company policy and procedure to ensure a safe, respectful workplace.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collect and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain. Collaborate with suppliers to create corrective action plans to address process failures. Review supplier manufacturing processes at Supplier, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities. Communicate with Engineering, Quality Engineering and Supply Chain internally to identify opportunities for quality and productivity improvement. Coordinate with Engineering and Operations to ensure awareness of known purchased part quality issues. Participate in supplier/vendor meetings and present purchased part quality issues. Investigate reported external quality issues related to purchased parts Perform or lead root cause analysis on purchased part quality issues and work issues through containment phase of corrective action process. Communicate and collaborate with suppliers on the use of a corrective action process, quality tools, & techniques. Maintain supplier audit scorecard results and support supplier qualification and/or disqualification Collect and maintain supplier performance metrics. Issue Non-Conformance Report for defective product. Assist and approve AS90102 First article inspection reports. Participate in Internal MRB (Material Review Board) Process.
