Position Overview

The Advanced Program Manager is a midlevel level position and serves as a subject matter expert for organizing and coordinating the strategic and technical aspects of projects and programs related to the business line. They are accountable for ensuring their overall program and supporting projects consistently deliver business value, align with business and technical strategy and provide an exceptional customer experience for our business partners. Program Managers help guide the program’s strategy, implementation, and delegation and will work closely with business resources and stakeholders, internal technology teams, and various vendors and third-party consultants and implementers.

What You’ll Do


  • Develop proactive relationships with senior leaders of supported business units that are built on trust, transparent communication, and a spirit of collaboration

  • Monitor and adjust the inter-connected and cross-functional resourcing, prioritization, scheduling and delivery in assigned projects

  • Utilize resources from various internal and external areas into assigned projects and data capability areas.

  • Formulates approaches that achieve desired business objectives, including defining system scope and objectives and assisting with business case justification and processes through execution

  • Assist with forecasting IT resource requirements and equipment needs based on business units’ pipeline of planned projects

  • Support the outcomes the business line is seeking and develop business requirements and business cases as needed

  • Represent the voice of the customer (business unit) during the technology project life cycles. Ensure IT tasks are meeting committed timelines. Ensure stakeholders remain informed and engaged throughout the projects

  • Partner with business units and teams across IT to remove project roadblocks and accelerate high priority initiatives

  • Serve as an escalation point to raise critical action items or issues

  • Facilitate communications and collaborations with business analyst, implementation specialist and program management teams to meet business targets and established service level agreements (SLAs)

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor program health and the banking application support and implementation team’s performance

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Financial industry experience preferred

  • Proven experience in program or project management

  • Great verbal and written communication skills
