The Operational Controls Senior Associate will be responsible for a number of duties coming in from many departments within Loan Servicing. In addition to receiving tasks from other areas, the O.C. Servicer will have individual work within the department that is required to be completed on a daily or monthly basis, some of which requires senior management signoff. The O.C. Senior Associate will need to be able to handle complex inquiries from departments while meeting their own metrics without errors. They will investigate out of balance situations with minimal supervision and know when to escalate.



Duties and Responsibilities



Reconciles DDAs and General Ledger accounts .
Completes tasks within the MSP system (Mortgage Servicing Platform).


Sending and receiving daily wires.


Reviews the daily report of charge-offs/recoveries and their feed into the Credit/MIS platform, and reconciling those entries to GL on a daily basis.


Balances and posts all new loan entries to GL.


Daily reconciliation of Loans Serviced by others.


Settles credit card transactions taken by loan originators and balancing those entries to GL.


Monitors the Operational Controls email inbox for any requests and handle as necessary.


Ensure that all work performed in the department complies with all bank policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.


Additional duties as designed.



Qualifications

Knowledge of mortgage loan servicing required.


Ability to work in a team environment.


Effectively operate all office equipment required to support this position, i.e., personal computer, strong keyboarding skills, fax, scanner/copier, printer, phone system, all applications, spreadsheets, database.


Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and positive attitude.


Excellent oral and written communication skills.


Display independent judgement.


Demonstrate excellent organization, prioritize workflow, adaptability and flexibility.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a quick thinker and learner while maintaining a high degree of accuracy



Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.



The estimated salary range for this position is $26.00 to $30.00 USD an hour. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
