TransCore (TCI), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a Lead Technician (Maintenance) to join our team in Miramar, FL.

Summary: Responsible for leading a crew of skilled technicians for the installation and maintenance of tolling systems. Performs on-site or in-house servicing, repair and/or installation of customer equipment. This job may include any aspect of field support and installation, and is not limited to electrical, data, and fiber optic cable installation; conduit and pull box installation; troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment, systems, and wiring; installation of equipment; upgrades, modifications, programming; preventive maintenance actions; documentation. Determines most cost effective and practical method for maintenance to minimize customer downtime and expense.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Installation, preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment to include PC based computers, video surveillance equipment, network communications equipment.
• Completes reports, logs and performs shift-to-shift communications in accordance with established policies, procedures and local practices.
• Responds to corrective maintenance requests or alarms within an acceptable time frame.
• Diagnoses and repairs hardware, software, and system issues.
• Reports the technical status of the system with accuracy and completeness.
• Restores equipment to operational status as quickly as possible.
• Module or PC Board swap out.
• Isolation of faults in units or components.
• Field test of units or components.
• Maintenance of spare equipment and parts following guidelines set forth to do so.
• Generates documentation supporting installation activity.
• Assists with the training of technicians on newly installed equipment.
• Coordinates activities of subcontractors assisting in the effort.
• Supervises labor required to perform task.
• Provides support to installation technicians.
• On Call during weekend and after hours
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experienced toll maintenance technician (5yrs minimum)
• Must successfully complete required background / drug screening that TransCore initiates as part of the hiring process; additionally, when required by project, must successfully complete a Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and State Law Enforcement Radio System (SLERS) background screen
• Cable management and termination
• Advanced PC skills: Windows, Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook (SharePoint will train)
• Basic Networking Skills
• Bucket Truck Operation
• Can effectively troubleshoot
• Energetic / Self-motivated
• Able and willing to be On Call during weekend and after hours.

• High School Diploma is a minimum requirement
