This position is responsible for the growth of the business location’s revenue through increased sales, and gaining new customers.  This position helps drive budgetary goals through sales and service.  This position must be able to consult with customers to determine the best product and/or service solution for their needs while representing the company in a professional, positive, helpful, and dependable manner so that the customer’s experience is exceptional.


Our company thrives in no small part due to our culture that puts the customer’s needs first, which encourages various departments and employees to cooperate towards the goal of ensuring a highly satisfied customer.  This position sets the tone for that culture through the proper handling of customers’ needs and questions and coordinating with applicable departments to meet these needs and answer questions in a timely manner. This position has an expected earning of $50-$70k annual starting.


Responsibilities: 



  • Responsible for meeting budget goals for assigned business locations.

  • Manages and oversees lead activities and sales activities, ensuring sales goals set out by the Area Manager are met and exceeded.

  • Deliver first class customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and build loyalty.

  • Represent the Company and Culligan brand professionally, knowledgeably, and positively at all times.

  • Prospect for potential customers through various outside sales means, including but not limited to “cold calling” and “door-to-door” methodologies (sales leads provided by the Company are considered supplemental) with the purpose of generating new business and the understanding that these activities comprise approximately 80% of this role.

  • Proactively generate appointments with both existing and potential customers who are reasonably expected to have an interest in the Company’s product lines and ability to qualify for Culligan Payment Plans.

  • Follow all guidelines to complete sales and rental contracts correctly and thoroughly, then submit them via the proper channels as determined by the Sales Manager.

  • Conduct self in positive and cooperative tone with both customers and coworkers.

  • Possess the understanding that your involvement in the sale does not stop once the contract is signed; follow through the sale to ensure customer satisfaction, understanding that commissions are not earned until equipment is installed/service has begun and customer has received follow-up from you (where applicable).

  • Perform water tests and analyze customer’s water use to identify specific needs and evaluate all revenue generating opportunities.

  • Create and present proposals in the format appropriate for each customer to educate and recommend solutions according to our product and service line.

  • Successfully close sales to directly generate revenue for the Company.

  • Follow up with customers after all new installations or implementations of service.

  • Meet or exceed minimum requirements as defined by the Company for sales volume expectations, sales-generating activities, units rented/sold, and any other defined minimum requirements.

  • Comply with any and all applicable water treatment vendor laws and regulations as well as Company policy and practices at all times.

    • Attend any required Culligan Sales training and obtain any associated, required license within 90 days of employment in position.

    • Help maintain all aspects of company property at dealership level. This will include, but not be limited too, maintenance of building and property, and securing products and equipment stored inside.

    • Complete installation and repair/service of company equipment in residential or commercial venues following Company Standard Operating Procedures when applicable.

    • Provide timely and effective resolution of service issues relating to all residential and commercial customers, including but not limited to, equipment repair, installations, re-beds, product deliveries, applications, and others as assigned.

    • Complete the sale of equipment and other supplies where appropriate (revenue generation).

    • Perform payment collection from customers at the time that service is rendered. Promptly return customer payments and daily activity sheets to the office staff at the completion of each work day.

    • Accurate and legible completion of all required paperwork, including timesheets, material orders/warranty cards, installation/service work orders, and field orders.

    • Complete “on call” service needs on holidays and weekends as required

    • Provide telephone technical support when necessary

    • Conduct self in a positive and cooperative manner, and communicate in an open and positive way with both customers and coworkers

    • Other duties as assigned

       


      Qualifications:



      • Must be outgoing and customer service oriented

      • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and friendly

      • Valid Driver’s License

      • If driving a company vehicle, must be able to successfully pass a driving record check according to Company’s auto liability insurance requirements and must remain insurable, under those requirements.

      • Must be able to drive a vehicle at least 6 hours per day

      • 2-5 years of previous outside sales experience preferred

      • Demonstrated competency in computer use, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office software applications.

      • Solid verbal and written communication skills

      • Strong attention to detail, and problem solving skills

      • Ability to self-direct activities and manage time to ensure productivity

      • Ability to thrive and multi-task in an active working environment

      • Outstanding “team” attitude

      • Must be able to successfully pass criminal background and drug screening checks per Company requirements
