WEWS, The E.W. Scripps Company ABC affiliate in Cleveland, OH, is looking for Commercial Photographer. The primary purpose is to shoot, edit and develop commercials for sales presentations, commercials or promotional spots.  Our NPPA award-winning photography staff prides itself on creativity, innovation, and independence. We trust our photographers to capture hearts and minds of the community while also nailing the basics like shooting, editing, and operating the occasional dynamic and purposeful live shot. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Shoot video for wide range of station projects, including commercials, Sales presentations, promotional spots, and programming.




• Edit video linear and non linear for wide range of station projects, including commercials, sales presentations, promotional spots, and programming.




• Drive company vehicles on various assignments.




• Work with clients, talent, account executives, and Commercial Production Manager in EFP and studio productions creating commercials and programming.




• Work with Commercial Production Manager developing ideas and writing scripts for client spots.




• Maintain Commercial Production Video and Music Library.




• Work with Commercial Production Manager to organize and administer the scheduling of all shooting and editing for the department productions.




• Edit on nonlinear edit systems and familiarity with digital based storage and servers




• Perform other duties as needed and directed by the Commercial Production Manager or General Sales Manager.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Associates degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred




• Generally, 2+ years of experience in related field preferred

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Proficiency with lighting and computer-based editing




• Knowledge and demonstration of creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws




• Knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to station's web sites




• Able to work efficiently under multiple deadlines on a daily basis




• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.




• Driving Required: valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits
