Your Role:

We are seeking a dynamic Training & Development Specialist to drive our new hire training curriculum and ongoing education initiatives within the animal health pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, coach sales and marketing teams on effective training modalities, and facilitate engaging learning experiences that enhance product knowledge and sales acumen.

Your Responsibilities:  

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams/stakeholders to deliver agreed upon objectives. 

  • Ownership of New Hire training curriculum to set for successful integration. 

  • Coach and advise Sales and marketing in the selection of appropriate instructional modalities (instructor led, computer-based training, vendor supported, and self-study) to meet business needs in the most efficient and effective manner. 

  • Classroom facilitation of product technical knowledge to enable adult learning competencies. 

  • Execute continuing education strategy with key metrics for showing the value back to the business. 

  • Execute learning journeys through multi-modal avenues. 

  • Utilize key stakeholders and partnerships for delivery of content.  

  • Ensure content delivery is consistent across multiple facilitators. 

  • Maintain and manage training platform and content to maximize use, partnering with our content creation team. 

  • Establish KPIs to measure sales acumen of our customer facing roles  

  • Assist in the development and rollout of product training for external partners like distribution, retail and channel  

 

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications):  

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, animal sciences or related major.

  • Required Experience: 3 + years working in animal health pharmaceutical or related corporate industry. 2-5 years sales experience. 2-5 years of Training or Facilitation for large groups.

  • Strong facilitator experience in both small (<10 people) and large (>100) people audiences. 

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Elanco does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position. 

 

What will give you the competitive edge (preferred qualifications): 

  • Strong experience in coordination and implementation across multiple functions and complex environments. 

  • Experience with building training curriculum and coordination with 3rd party vendors. 

  • Field experience in sales with proficiency in selling skills, technical knowledge, territory management and driving essential wins. 

  • Strong coaching skills to upskill our facilitators’ ability to lead the most effective and engaging trainings. 

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
