Production Manager




Overview:



Our company is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Production Manager to oversee our ready-to-eat (RTE) sliced meat production operations. This pivotal role demands a strategic leader with a proven track record in optimizing production processes, driving efficiency, and ensuring product quality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the food industry, specifically RTE sliced meat, and a demonstrated ability to manage large-scale operations.



Responsibilities:




Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute production strategies aligned with company objectives.



Operational Excellence: Optimize production processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.



Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards to exceed customer expectations.



Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing production team.



Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational performance.



Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all food safety and regulatory requirements.



Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement innovative solutions.



Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in food science, engineering, business, or related field is highly preferred


• Experience in Union environment is highly preferred


• Oversight of team of 300-400 associates, icluding multiple supervisors


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management within the RTE sliced meat industry.


• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.


• Knowledge of food safety and quality control regulations.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
