Job Description:

Lynden Air Cargo is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineering Assistant to join our Quality Assurance team. The Assistant will provide support to the Quality Assurance department by performing data entry, research, and the drafting of technical documents. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow established processes, while assisting with day-to-day operations.

This is an in-office position, with the possibility of occasional remote work. Working hours would be Monday through Friday, with the option of 5 - 8 hour shifts or 4 - 10 hours shifts. 

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are:


  • Working independently on tasks under the direction of the QA Engineering Manager.

  • Assisting QA Engineering Specialists by drafting and updating Maintenance Engineering Authorizations, reports, and technical data under direction.

  • Performing data entry related to repairs, alterations, and inspections in Trax and the MEA Master Spreadsheet.

  • Supporting internal teams by handling research tasks for inspections and technical reviews, utilizing available data and resources.

  • Assisting with Conformity and Aging Aircraft inspections by compiling relevant data.

  • Filing Service Difficulty Reports and assists with other routine administrative tasks as needed.

  • Supporting the QA Specialists by focusing on completing routine tasks as needed within the department.

Qualifications:


  • Must have the ability to apply concepts of basic math and geometry as it applies to the aviation industry.

  • Must have the ability to pay attention to fine details in documentation such as forms, reports, drawings, etc. including the ability to find and correct typographical errors.

  • Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists as well as the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Computer application skills preferred, with experience and skill in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access or other database applications, Adobe Acrobat, Web based programs, and other related applications. Will need the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
