This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position that is scheduled to work Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. This is a hybrid position.

We are seeking a Claims Billing Representative to:


  • Ensure claims are filed to payers accurately and timely by following standard billing, coding, payer and contract guidelines.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy
  • Review and fix claims that hit billing edits prior to filing claims to the payer.
  • Correct and update claims on payer portals.

Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Associate's Degree in Business, Finance, Health Information Management, or a related field Preferred

Work Experience


  • 1 year of experience in an insurance, finance, medical, hospital, or customer service related field Required
  • Revenue Cycle (healthcare business, financial or insurance) experience
    Preferred
  • Epic experience Preferred
  • Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, CPT, ICD coding structures, and billing forms (UB, 1500) Preferred
