Job Description Summary

Provides administrative lending support to all areas within Business Lending by preparing, processing and coordinating a variety of lending duties; accurately and efficiently documents and processes the full range of business member services to ensure member satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Serve as liaison between all parties involved in business real estate loan processing and closing process. Performs system documentation, orders and receives surveys, title commitments, mortgages, and other required documentation for closings.

  • Coordinates, processes, and closes all non-real estate business loan transactions.

  • Books all loans closed in Business Lending and identifies post closing items that will require follow-up activity. Completes all post closing activities prior to submission of the new loan file for file management.

  • Communicates with all parties on status of loan files, answers questions, and provides other information as necessary.

  • Assist management with special projects/tasks as directed.

  • Greets and assesses business member’s needs and concerns; provides consultative services regarding the Credit Union’s products and services; assists with loan related needs.

  • Performs specialized data entry to prepare a variety of standard materials, documents and reports; updates computer records and databases; completes and processes standard forms.

  • Documents and processes departmental work, including but not limited to; verifying for accuracy and completeness, performing research, scanning and filing documents and other materials.

  • Maintains records of work performed; assists in maintaining an inventory of supplies for the department.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

To perform this job satisfactorily, an employee must be able to carry out each essential duty competently. The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and abilities required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Education Requirements

High School or GED - Required

Experience Requirement

2 Years - Financial industry experience - Required

1 Year - Lending experience - Required

Business loan processing experience - Preferred

SKILLS/ABILITIES


  • Effectively apply internal and external customer service practices and processes to meet quality service standards and achieve member satisfaction.

  • Learn and apply information, on a wide range of Credit Union products, services and regulatory compliance requirements, in order to assess member situations and develop solutions.

  • Resolve problems utilizing advanced knowledge and experience.

  • Communicate in a professional manner and deliver information clearly and effectively. Actively listen to questions, opinions and ideas of others. Use tact and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations.

  • Use correct English including spelling, grammar and punctuation.

  • Operate computers and use business software and other standard office equipment.

  • Understand and follow written and oral instructions.

  • Set priorities and manage one’s own time effectively.
