Overview

IQT Insights is the division of IQT that produces over-the-horizon and geopolitical products about dual-use technology based on the IQT’s access to Insights through early-stage investments. The product catalog varies in length and format—from one page to graphics to long-form papers. Responsible for coordinating research; synthesizing data from multiple sources; leading/developing IQT’s analysis on emerging technology, industry, market, and geopolitical trends; and writing all content for Insights products. The Research Manager will integrate with the biotechnology team. The position requires significant collaboration across IQT to identify potential insights and lead the development of products. Case studies in stakeholder management required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute research projects, in collaboration with IQT subject matter experts, leveraging your experience in intelligence analysis and structured analytic techniques.
• Write the complete Insights story through analysis, interpretation, and data visualization that clearly conveys key takeaways, impact, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with globally distributed IQT subject matter experts to develop products.
• Manage the production plan for all Insights products.
• Identify partner knowledge gaps and provide forward-leaning thought leadership in those areas.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify potential Insights products.
• Utilize a variety of tools, databases, and other sources of information to identify changes, new activities, trends, trajectories, and impact.
• Collaborate with IQT marketing production team to produce Insights products.
• Participate in meetings with mission partners to capture ideas for Insights products and feedback on the impact of products

Qualifications

• Due to contractual reasons, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• 5+ years of experience in the Intelligence Community, primarily as an all-source analys.
• Ideally, 3+ years of project leadership experience; sensitive to timelines and meets deadlines.
• Experience assessing technologies/emerging capabilities and presenting complex information in a clear, concise way.
• Experience using structured analytic techniques, particularly Indicators of Change, Red Team, and Alternative Futures.
• Strong research, analytical, and data visualization skills.
• Proven writing skills, specifically story telling for government audiences.
• Ability to understand a range of technologies and their implications on national security.
• Ability to work independently and function in a collaborative team environment.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
