RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client is seeking a Controller to join their team in Warwick, RI. This client is a public accounting firm that is currently growing.

Summary:

Duties:

• Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, including Billing A/R, A/P, and GL


• Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, manage budgets, maintain financial controls


• Prepare and present financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations


• As a Controller, you will develop budgets and forecasting


• Internal controls monitoring


• Work with external auditors


• Analyzing financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement


• Team management - Lead finance and accounting teams


• Cash flow management - making sure company meets its financial obligations

REQUIREMENTS:

• CPA certification, will take CMA


• Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, preferably with a professional services firm


• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)


• Communication skills - strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting financial information to stakeholders including board members and executives


• Software -Proficiency with the following: QuickBooks and MS Excel skill, Power BI


• Problem-solving - proficiency in identifying financial issues and develop effective solutions


• Attention to detail - strong focus on accuracy


• Leadership - mentoring and developing accounting and finance teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
