RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a SDET Technical Lead in Madison, WI.

Summary:
The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Technical Lead operates under minimal supervision in a team environment alongside the Senior SDET Lead. These roles together play a pivotal role in the development of automated testing at all layers (infrastructure, UI, services, API's, etc.) in the installation, configuration, operation and monitoring of Continuous Integration/Continuous Development. This role will be able to develop more complicated scripts, understand complex integrations, and thrive in a context switching rich atmosphere. Incumbents must be able to work in a fluid environment dedicated to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:
Test Automation:

• Lead, develop, and advise on test automation strategies and provide critical feedback in requirements, design, implementation, and execution phases


• Improve CI/CD tool integrations/operations, and full automation of CI/testing


• Maintain and improve existing Automation Framework tools for current and NextGen Software Platforms/Frameworks as part of an Agile team

Development, release, and maintenance of test procedures:

• Regression testing, browser testing, performance testing, capacity and stress testing, resiliency testing, environment management services, and infrastructure testing


• Understands testing best practice processes, working closely with developers to remediate identified system defects


• Responsible for reviewing requirements and design artifacts, developing unit, integration and system test cases, ensuring extensive test coverage for our cloud applications


• Work with the Senior SDET Lead to be a Quality Assurance Advocate


• Participate in code reviews to ensure testability and quality of code, advocating for quality throughout the development lifecycle


• Mentor and guide Quality Engineers to improve their technical skills and help them deliver solid quality and test solutions

REQUIREMENTS:

• To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed


• Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
