Are you drawn to the intricate fusion of hardware and software? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a hands on senior engineering manager. We are looking for a deep expert in server based systems hardware and software who is passionate about leading a team and working directly with internal and external developers to deliver outstanding tooling.



Responsibilities:



• Grow and lead a team of software engineers responsible for our developer tooling to aid the characterisation of Arm based systems.


• Design and implement high-quality software managing the full software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.


• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams globally including hardware engineers, firmware developers, product managers and system architects, to deliver integrated solutions.



Required Skills and Experience :



• 6+ years experience leading teams of engineers to deliver tooling for debugging developer issues.


• Deep technical expertise with system software, Linux systems and developer toolchains.


• Demonstrated experience growing and developing world-class engineers.


• A proven track record of navigating an ambiguous space, solving hard problems with tricky technical or organizational constraints, and identifying the right ones to address.


• Open to occasional travel e.g., quarterly visits to our UK offices and developer conferences.



"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience :



• Experience in one or more of kernel-level programming, device drivers, and performance analysis, profiling tools, and optimization techniques, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and cloud computing platforms.


• A deep background in the system or application performance domain with experience of internet scale platforms and their associated complexity.
