Job Details:

The School of Medicine is searching for a Preceptorship Coordinator for the Savannah, Georgia area.


Responsibilities:

The Preceptorship Coordinator, in conjunction with teammates, is responsible for the logistics of the Population Health Curriculum, which includes identifying and securing preceptors, clearing students for rotations, collecting evaluations and grades, and maintaining records. The Preceptorship Coordinator works as a team but also independently. Maintaining and building good relationships with faculty, students, peers, and external stakeholders is a crucial part of the position.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college and one year of administrative office experience is required. In lieu of a degree, an equivalent combination of education and related experience will be considered. Must be able to use Microsoft Office and have intermediate skill level working with Excel spreadsheets.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier as this position requires some travel.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • The incumbent must be able to work independently, problem solve, and seek unique solutions.

  • Must process strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Must possess customer service/public relations skills and be able to build and maintain working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.

  • Must possess strong command of general office skills including maintaining accurate and detailed records.

  • Must possess and exercise good judgement when representing and acting on behalf of Mercer University.

  • Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where it is often necessary to triage and prioritize tasks.
