Position Summary
As a Data Transformation-Technical Lead you will be responsible for leading enterprise data projects building and using Data products. Be the expert in leading projects in the Data space, using traditional, new, and emerging technologies
Key Responsibilities
Solution Design: Architect data pipelines and models, merge datasets, and enhance PowerBI dashboards.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate client requirements into clear technology roadmaps.
Agile Execution: Break down tasks into epics and user stories, leading agile sprints.
Automation & Efficiency: Design technical solutions to automate data processes and improve analytics.
Data Management: Ensure the quality and integrity of data flows for reporting and insights.
Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with front-end developers and manage back-end solutions, including REST APIs.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with technology changes, particularly in cloud platforms and data privacy.
Responsibilities
Ability to design and develop data lake, Lakehouse, data mesh, data hub, and warehouse architectures and provide prescriptive guidance across network, storage, Platform Services, serverless architectures, data ecosystem, vendor products, RDBMS & NoSQL databases, and security.
Participate in technical architectural discussions to build confidence and ensure customer success when building new solutions and migrating existing solutions to cloud-native technologies.
Conduct full technical discovery, identify pain points, business and technical requirements, as-is and to-be scenarios.
Lead discussions and early analysis and proof of concepts of data architectures, as it relates to a client’s strategic and tactical data needs.
Adapt to existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems.
Manage small teams of data engineers and analysts, successfully delivering work efforts
Professional Experience / Qualifications:
Experience: 10+ years of IT experience with a focus on hands-on development and data architecture.
Technical Skills: Proficient in data modeling, pipeline creation, and merging datasets.
Client-Facing: Experienced in leading client engagements and translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Data Warehousing: 6+ years of real-world data warehousing project experience, with a deep understanding of architectural principles and design patterns.
Snowflake & Spark: Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing and Spark for data processing.
ETL/ELT Workflow Design: Proven experience in designing efficient and robust ETL/ELT workflows and job scheduling.
Performance Tuning: Expertise in performance tuning of SQL queries and Spark jobs.
Tool Proficiency: Experience with Git, Jira, and Agile methodologies.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a self-driven attitude and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, collaborative mindset, and curiosity.
Education
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
