Job Description:

As a JSL Engineering Technician you will perform Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE), Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and Civil Engineering End Items (CEEI) mechanical and electrical system maintenance checks. There are over 600 pieces of CESE and MHE in the inventory.

JSL Engineering Technicians operate Government owned Material Handling Equipment (MHE), up to and including 53 Ton Rough Terrain Forklifts during the maintenance cycle. A Virginia Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.

JSL Engineering Technicians assist in supporting the Navy Expeditionary Forces collateral equipment program and create a CB 60 form for each USN numbered CESE assigned to NAVELSG in accordance with the COMNECC/COMNECCPACINST 4590.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Ability to acquire and maintain a Secret Clearance
• Valid driver's license
• Sit
• Stand and walk
• Use common mechanic hand tools
• Work on and around heavy equipment

Security Clearance:

Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance as specified in the minimum qualifications. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD government-granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation to include but not be limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
