Job Summary

Provide ongoing functional support related to the acquire-to-require business process, and the supporting functionality within the ERP solution and the Power Plan solution. Evaluate requests for changes and enhancements and define impact on the solution. Document requirements and working with technical and project management resources define the scope and time and cost estimate to execute solution enhancements. Lead requirements prioritization reviews and release planning for upgrades change requests in the PowerPlan solution. Work with business and IT to define and design opportunities to enhance and innovate existing functionality. Stay abreast of the SAP solution roadmap and proactively plans and works with IT to execute changes based on the impacts to UGI’s implementation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Solution Support: Provide ongoing business support of existing functionality in the integrated SAP solutions suite. Anticipate issues and risks, and work with the technical teams to prevent or mitigate production problems. Receive and review reported incidents and change requests from the business and technical teams. Work with business SME’s and IT resources to diagnose and resolve incidents and problems. Manages assigned incident and business functionality tickets to resolution. Help document root cause analysis of problems. Support process and change management activities related to ERP / PowerPlan and the Acquire to Retire process. Execute administration tasks. Work with business functions to identify opportunities for training reinforcement.
  • Solution Evolution: Identify opportunities to improve solution usability. Lead the definition of solution roadmap for acquire to retire workstreams. Work collaboratively with business, EBT and IT resources to analyze and submit change requests / functional enhancements for prioritization considerations. Research and stay current on SAP roadmap and other solutions planned or deployed at UGI to assess the impact on the business processes, procedures and solution. Define and execute plans to address the identified impacts.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor key data related to the in-scope processes to assess quality and define and execute plans to improve the quality of data and the use of the solution. Develop use cases for testing, support the development of test scripts for functionality and regression testing, and execute test plans as part of defect resolution, enhancements and quarterly releases, project execution, and regression testing related to system patching and upgrading. Work with Master Data Governance in updating business data definitions and data governance. Monitor tool utilization and investigate no usage, unexpected usage or incorrect use of functionality.
  • Reporting & Information: Defines new and changes reporting and analytics, working with the BI team to implement changes in reports and dashboards. Supports the maintenance and evolution of the logical data model and business process model for assigned business unit(s).
  • Training Support: Works with business functions to identify opportunities for training reinforcement. Contributes to the development and update of Learning Library training materials and communication about new solution releases. Participates in the development of user surveys and resulting action plans. Supports and participates in the EBT Learning Labs.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Depth or breadth of expertise in the UGI fixed asset accounting procedures
  • Depth or breadth of expertise in the UGI project accounting procedures
  • Working knowledge of SAP ERP and Power Plan functionality
  • Ability to facilitate discussions, to breach technical and business discussions, and to reach concrete work plans

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or computer-related field, or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Two (2) years of experience providing business support of fixed asset accounting OR
  • Two (2) years of experience providing business support of project accounting
  • Three (3) years of experience specific to SAP ERP, preferrable SAP S4 ERP
