Job Summary

Allied World is currently looking for an Underwriter or Sr. Underwriter for our Corporate Public D&O team in our Atlanta Office. The ideal candidate for the Corporate Public D&O position will work in a team setting to underwrite and perform financial analysis for public companies within Allied World’s Public D&O Group with specific focus on Directors & Officers Liability Coverage for public companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform due diligence, research, and financial analysis on potential clients


• Develop recommendations for product offerings, terms, conditions and pricing


• Conduct preparation and review of materials used in the underwriting of clients for communication and interaction with underwriting team members


• Develop relationships with new and existing clients and brokers in order to expand the business


• Participation in underwriting meetings with public company executives


• Preparation of presentations and other materials for broker marketing meetings

• Bachelor’s degree in a related area


• 2-5 years of Insurance experience. Public D&O experience is preferred.


• Strong interest in financial services


• Strong work ethic, excellent oral and written communication skills and a positive attitude


• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision


• Exceptional analytical, quantitative and decision-making abilities


• Interest and follow current events, critical issues, and relevant news


• Willingness to travel (10%)

Compensation

The below annualized base pay range is a broad range based on analysis of similar positions in the market.  The actual base pay for the position may be above or below the listed range and determined by a number of considerations, including but not limited to complexity, location, and scope of the role, along with experience, skills, education, training, and other conditions of employment.  Base salary represents one component of Allied World’s comprehensive total reward package, which may also include annual incentive compensation rewards.

Compensation range:  $80,000 - 110,000
