Job Description:

Position Summary

As a Central Office Technician you will maintain the company's central office equipment assuring optimal equipment performance; provide professional, courteous internal and external customer service

Qualifications 

You are required to have: 

• 3 or more years of experience working with telecommunications equipment within a central office environment and services


• Demonstrated knowledge of industry equipment applications, including switching, transmission, IP transport, voice systems, VOIP,  metaswitch or similar softswitches, ROADM, Access systems - CALIX, system features, network and systems administration,  DATA Center Operations and power distribution systems


• Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including nights, weekends and on call schedule


• Good communication, documentation and problem solving skills


• Be at least 18 years of age


• Valid class D driver’s license with a driver rating above “unacceptable”

Additional preferred qualifications: 

• Associate degree in telecommunications, electronics, or related


• CCNA


• Power Limited Technician license 

Schedule 

Hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM; hours and work days may vary with workload; on-call rotation; and over-time as needed 

Location 

This position can be located in Melrose or Perham, MN.
