The 1st. Shift full-time Fabricator (Metal) in our Elk Grove, IL facility isn’t just a job – it’s a starting point to an awesome career with a great company—$20/hour or more, based on experience.  We hire motivated individuals who want to grow with us. Here’s What You’ll Get To Do

• Read and interpret blueprints and instructions


• Prep parts for assembly utilizing hand tools, punch press, and mills


• Basic spot welding to secure door components


• Package material in preparation for pick up or shipment


• Handle, package, and label architectural doors and frames

Here’s What We’re Looking For

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, basic math, and measurement


• Ability to use machinery and hand tools to fabricate products


• Multi-tasking with good organizational skills


• 1+  years experience


• Regular attendance and the ability to accommodate mandated overtime


• An uncompromising safety-first approach in the workplace. At OBE we have each other’s back.

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds intermittently


• Ability to lift, bend, twist, carry, walk, and reach frequently


• Ability to stand/walk on a concrete floor wearing steel-toe shoes 8-10 hours a day


• 
  Ability to work in a manufacturing environment without temperature control
