Job Description:

HPC Storage team under HPC & AI business unit is building storage and related products for the largest supercomputers in the world enabling scientists and engineers to solve the world's grand challenges. The team is looking to fill Principal Software Engineer position to help build and deliver storage products to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, Design and develop features for HPC Storage products as per requirements and standards


• Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with development guidelines and standards


• Collaborate with other teams in effectively building and integrating with other products


• Troubleshoot and resolve customer raised issues


• Stay updated with latest technology advancements


• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other team members


• Involve in tech forums and share product architecture and knowledge

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.


• Typically 10+ years experience

Knowledge and Skills:

• 10+ year experience developing software using C++


• In-depth knowledge of Unix/Linux System Programming and multithreaded programming


• File system (GPFS, Lustre, etc.,) experience is required


• Strong algorithms, data structures, and multi-threaded programming expertise are required


• Experience in programming, analyzing, and debugging kernel crash dump


• Proven Interpersonal soft, oral, and written communication skills


• Nice to have knowledge on handling build system, Dev ops, Jenkins, CI/CT/CD


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.


• Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.

USD Annual Salary: $142,500.00 - $327,500.00
