The People + Culture (P+C) organization is looking for a Business Analyst to join the People Analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering actionable people insights that inform talent decisions, improve organizational effectiveness and drive a positive employee experience. You will have the opportunity to interact with a broad set of stakeholders across multiple Centers of Excellence within P+C, as well as Bank leadership. You are comfortable with ambiguity, are deeply curious and have a growth mindset as you develop hypotheses, analyze data, develop solutions and deliver insights. 

Essential Responsibilities: 


  • Act as an internal consultant by understanding business needs, prioritizing data requests, conducting analysis, synthesizing insights, and developing solutions 

  • Extract relevant People data from various source systems - conducting cleanse, transformation and validation steps to ensure data quality and integrity 

  • Query relevant data sets across multiple disparate source systems to support leadership needs. Build and present insights using business intelligence and data visualization tool

  • Develop, test, and validate dashboards for business partners and leaders 

  • Provide ad-hoc or special project data analysis support to P+C and Bank leaders that enable them to achieve their goals and drive decision making  

  • Participate on team projects/programs to address business issues; project manage ongoing initiatives via meeting management, document organization, and follow ups. Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure successful project/program completion. 

  • Partner with Information Technology and other key stakeholders on People Analytics technology initiatives including data infrastructure, automation and process improvement 

  • Demonstrate outstanding judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive data 

Requirements: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics/Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Business or related subject area, or equivalent work experience and training 

  • Typically requires 2+ years of relevant technical or business work experience 

  • Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases (AWS Redshift preferred) 

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau (preferred), Power BI to create dashboards, status reports, infographics or other visualizations 

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel (complex formulas, pivots, macros, etc.) 

  • Ability to balance multiple assignments, keep moving projects forward in a complex, ambiguous environment, and shift gears when new priorities arise 

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain and present the findings of complex work to a non-technical audience 

Desired skills: 


  • Domain experience in HR 

  • Practical knowledge of coding practices (such as Python, R, Java) 

  • Experience with cloud data services such as AWS (preferred) or Azure 

Must be a U.S Citizen or a Green card holder with intent to become a U.S Citizen. 

Base Salary Range: Min: $78,200 - Mid: $101,700 - Max: $124,900 (Location: San Francisco)

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
