JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Digital Communications Specialist assumes a pivotal role in developing and managing digital communication strategies to enhance the visibility and engagement of the healthcare organization. This role involves creating and optimizing digital content across various platforms, managing social media, and implementing digital marketing campaigns to support patient education, brand awareness, and organizational goals. With a strong expertise in digital media and strategic communication, the Digital Communications Specialist significantly contributes to advancing Choctaw Premier Services’ objectives, driving impactful engagement, and supporting overall success.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and produce engaging content for digital platforms including websites, social media, blogs, and email newsletters.
  • Ensure that content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with healthcare regulations and organizational guidelines.
  • Manage social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram), including content scheduling, community engagement, and performance monitoring.
  • Create social media campaigns promoting healthcare services, events, and initiatives.
  • Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive traffic, increase engagement, and support healthcare marketing objectives.
  • Analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies based on data and insights.
  • Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the organization’s website, ensuring content is up-to-date and user-friendly.
  • Collaborate with web developers to implement design updates and enhancements.
  • Monitor and analyze digital communication metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and content.
  • Prepare regular reports on digital communication performance and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop strategies to enhance patient engagement and education through digital channels.
  • Create content that addresses patient needs, promotes health literacy, and supports patient retention.
  • Ensure all digital communications comply with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and organizational policies.
  • Remain current concerning digital marketing trends and best practices to implement innovative strategies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create compelling content tailored for digital audiences.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and tools, including SEO, PPC, and email marketing.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and executing social media campaigns.
  • Ability to analyze digital communication metrics and derive actionable insights to improve performance.
  • Familiarity with website management, content management systems (CMS), and basic HTML/CSS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and creating content.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in content creation and campaign management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and proactive approach to exploring new digital communication trends and technologies.
  • Commitment to creating content and strategies that prioritize patient education and engagement.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing digital landscapes and organizational needs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, public relations, or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in digital communications, marketing, or related field.
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO tools, email marketing platforms) and content management systems (CMS).

PREFERRED:

  • Master’s degree in digital marketing, healthcare communication, or related field.
  • Certification in digital marketing, social media management, or related field (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot Content Marketing).
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations, terminology, and patient communication practices.
  • Experience with emerging digital tools and technologies (e.g., AI-driven marketing tools, chatbots).
